Every blogger who reads my blog knows that I change blog designs at the drop of a hat. Some of my readers get frustrated, but most of them love it. They tell me that they like to see what kind of design I’ll come up with next! I must admit, changing templates is what I do when I am stressed out; it is a natural and drug-free stress reliever. I change designs typically every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes, I might only have a design up for a couple of days. It all depends on what mood I’m in or what happens to inspire me at the time I make the design. If you’d like to see just some of the cool designs I’ve made in the past, then…

Yesterday was almost perfect. Kris’s brother came over, my brother was behaving (for once), and we didn’t have anything else to do. Mom called from work and asked me if I could go to WAL-MART and buy some food for the family and so I went. I bought rice, splenda, fruit, carrot cake mix (for Kris’s brother Craig because he loves carrot cake) etc. I left back home feeling ever-so-happy because the day could not have been better.
Mom got home at 5:18 and she asked Kris if he could go to the corner store to get her some diet coke because she had ran out. Kris happily agreed and said to my mother, “Donna, I need some cash” and then mom said back “Kris, the rest of the change is with April from when she went to WAL-MART earlier today”. I went ahead to the car and looked for my palm pilot with the cash and everything else that is essential such as my social security card, driver’s license, and college ID. Suddenly, I felt a rush of blood surge through my body and my heart sank into oblivion. I had lost my wallet.

Could you sign my guestmap? I recently got one and I added it to my "choose your destination" links section. I really would love for everyone to sign it that are on "my people" list. Not much of a post today, just a plee from me to you to sign the guestmap. Okay, there is one thing I’ll be doing today that I did yesterday… cleaning. Ugh. Last night, Kris and I were cleaning the house and today, we have to rake the yard. How fun.
UPDATE: This JUST in!! Logtar (John) got engaged on December 26th!

The Christmas holidays were great, but the beginning of a new year is coming, and it is time I move on. Today marked the last of the drama that I would have with Kris’s mother. I haven’t really talked much about this online before, but for the past five years Kris and I have endured hell and high water with his mother. The only reason we have not ignored her behavior until now, is because we both wanted to try to make things work. We wanted to endure her name calling and judgements because we thought our relationship with her would grow, but it hasn’t.

I couldn’t help but show you all this picture of our snowman. Shaq and I just had to make our own snowman, because we knew that unless we go up north, we would never be able to see this.
Shaq is so lucky to have this memory as a child. I’m jealous! HA! Seriously though, Kris and I woke up at 7 o’clock in the morning because we knew that if we woke up too late, the snow would be melted. You guys just gotta go and see the rest of these pictures. To see a place that RARELY snows is quite a site! It snowed about 4 inches. Not much for those who live up north, but plenty for us. It is usually 70 degrees or so during Christmas.

It is 1:08 PM here in Brownsville, Texas and it is snowing for the first time in over 150 years! This is truly a miracle. I have never seen snow in my entire life because where I live, the conditions are just never right for it to snow.
Out of all the United States, our area of the country started snowing on Christmas Eve and now it’s Christmas day. My own mother, who is from Chicago couldn’t even believe her eyes when she saw the snow outside. Even though she is from Chicago, she has been living in Brownsville, Texas for a little over 25 years, and she has never seen it snow.
I’ve taken loads of pictures and as I type, the snow just keeps on piling and piling outside. Brrr, it is so cold outside! It’s 32 Fahrenheit or zero degrees Celsius, but with the windchill factor it feels like 17 degrees Fahrenheit or -8 degrees Celsius.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!
PS: Sorry guys, but Kris and I forgot to bring the camera to record me. However, I can get a cassette tape of me singing, and then I’ll go ahead and convert it to an mp3, k? That won’t be for another week or so though. Oh well, stuff happens.

Kris invited Craig over to play some games on the PS2. Kris hasn’t seen his brother Craig since August, and so, he couldn’t wait to see him again. I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve seen Craig. This past summer he used to come over about two to three times a week! Craig is a very funny guy. He always cracks me up when I see him. He says such funny things …especially to Kris. Hehehe.

Yes, little ol’ me who said that football was a bad thing was learning about how to play football on Kris’s Madden 2005 PS2 game last night. I was learning offensive plays. I can’t believe how many different plays there are in football. I bet you are wondering why I decided to start learning about football. The answer is that I wanted to get closer to Kris. I’m still no avid football fan, but I want to learn about football so that Kris and I can do something that he loves to do. It’s not like Kris doesn’t watch sci-fi stuff I watch so he can be closer to me. I can’t lie though, playing last night was a lot of fun. I mean, I wasn’t playing football yet, but I was learning some plays and it was pretty fun. At first it was hard, like anything you learn for the first time, but then it got a lot easier.

Today my little baby girl Miss Sparkles killed a rat! It was about 6 inches long and three inches wide, not including the tail. I just had to give her props on a job well done.
I woke up this morning, walked into the kitchen, and was surprised to see this big ol’ rat on the floor. Mom had told me on the phone before earlier this past semester in Houston that Sparkles had killed a rat before.

Today was so awesome! Shaq sung at the Youth Groups Christmas play at church. He looked so handsome! My little brother is the kiddo on the right.
Singing at church is always good for the soul. Speaking of singing, I’ll be singing at church this Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th). I’m so exited to sing for my church because I love all of the people there. They have all been so supportive of me, I just want to show them I appreciate their loving care.
Hopefully, if all goes well, I’ll be able to have Kris record me singing so you can not only watch me, but hear me sing on streaming video. We will see.
